By default it is empty, but you can populate it with tiles that show live counts of documents matching whatever criteria matter most to your daily workflow. --- ## How Dashboard Tiles Work Each tile on the dashboard corresponds to a **Saved View** — a stored combination of filters (tags, document types, date ranges, and so on). When a saved view is pinned to the dashboard, it appears as a tile showing: - The name of the view - A live count of documents currently matching the view's criteria - A clickable link that opens the document list filtered to that view Tiles update automatically as new documents are added or existing documents change. An "Inbox" tile, for example, will always show the exact number of unreviewed documents waiting for your attention. --- ## Adding a Tile to the Dashboard A saved view must exist before it can be pinned. **To pin an existing saved view:** 1. In the sidebar, hover over the saved view's name 2. Click the **settings** (gear) icon next to it 3. Toggle on **Show on dashboard** 4. Click **Save** The tile will appear on your dashboard immediately. **Alternatively, while saving a new view:** 1. Set up your filters in the document list 2. Click the **Save view** icon in the top bar 3. Name the view and enable the **Show on dashboard** checkbox before saving --- ## Removing a Tile from the Dashboard 1. In the sidebar, hover over the saved view name 2. Click the gear icon 3. Toggle off **Show on dashboard** 4. Click **Save** The tile disappears from the dashboard, but the saved view itself is not deleted. --- ## Reordering Dashboard Tiles Drag any tile by its header to a new position on the dashboard. The new order is saved automatically. --- ## Suggested Tiles for a Useful Dashboard - **Tile name**: \*\*Inbox\*\* - **View filters**: Tag: \`Inbox\` - **What it shows**: Documents that haven't been reviewed yet - **Tile name**: \*\*To Do\*\* - **View filters**: Tag: \`To Do\` - **What it shows**: Documents requiring action - **Tile name**: \*\*This Month\*\* - **View filters**: Date added: this month - **What it shows**: Everything added in the current month - **Tile name**: \*\*Invoices\*\* - **View filters**: Document type: Invoice - **What it shows**: All invoices in the archive - **Tile name**: \*\*Unsigned Contracts\*\* - **View filters**: Type: Contract + Tag: \`Pending Signature\` - **What it shows**: Contracts awaiting signature --- ## Dark Mode and Display Settings To switch between light and dark mode, open the **User Menu** (your avatar or initials in the top right corner) and toggle the appearance setting. Your preference is saved to your account and applies on any device you log in from. --- ## Sidebar Saved Views In addition to dashboard tiles, all pinned saved views also appear directly in the **sidebar** under their own section — making them accessible from any page in the app without returning to the dashboard.
