Taking the Interactive Tour
Essal Office includes a built-in interactive tour that walks you through the key areas of the interface. It is designed for new users who want to get oriented quickly without reading the full documentation.
What the Tour Covers
The tour is a short guided walkthrough that highlights:
- The dashboard layout and how to read your saved view tiles
- The document list and its filtering controls
- How to open and read a document's detail panel
- The sidebar navigation and what each section contains
- How to upload a document
Each step in the tour highlights a specific part of the interface with a tooltip and a brief explanation. You can move forward and backward through the steps at your own pace, and skip the tour at any point.
Starting the Tour
The tour can be launched from two places:
From the dashboard — when you log in for the first time, a Take the Tour prompt appears near the top of the dashboard. Click it to begin.
From Settings — if you've dismissed the prompt or want to replay the tour, go to Settings → General and click Launch Tour. The tour is available to any user at any time.
Replaying the Tour
There is no limit on how many times you can run the tour. If you've set up Essal Office for a new team member and want to walk them through the interface, you can launch the tour on their behalf from Settings while logged in to their account.
After the Tour
Once you've completed the tour, the best next step is to upload your first document and practice applying tags, a correspondent, and a document type to it. The tour shows you where things are; working with a real document teaches you how they fit together.
